How to Seal Leaks in a Basement
Today we focus on a crack injection training performed in a basement office in Wisconsin using the SealBoss hydro-active polyurethane water stop foam injection system.
With no surface paste or glue on ports needed, prep consists of cleaning the crack, drilling holes, and flushing holes. Following prep is the simple installation of mechanical packers that create a pressure seal to inject and with the quick connection of the applicator to the packer, you are ready to begin injection.

On-Site Training with a Professional
For this training, SealBoss’s Regional Manager drove to the suburbs of Milwaukee, WI to train a contractor team of two brothers who were looking to expand their business and offer a system that would set them apart and result in a competitive edge over other Foundation Repair Contractors who do not have an injection certification and are not well trained in moisture control and leak-sealing crack injection techniques, but use methods of lower success rate and quality.
Ironically, the training took place in a basement that had previously been repaired using products which had failed and continued to have persistent moisture intrusion, providing the perfect training for the re-do repairs that can help establish a new company as a reputable provider of long-lasting solutions.
With a comprehensive introduction to the injection process and a demonstration of how to install packers and drill 45 degrees back into a crack, the contractor team was off drilling holes, setting injection packers and prepping for the repair. The wall was finished with a decorative brick form which meant that extra care had to be taken in placing and drilling the injection holes. Subsequently a thoroughly mixed up a catalyzed batch of SealBoss PUR Foam 1510 was prepared and injection began.
We are Interested in Your Success
Within four hours, the prep and injection of two separate form joints, where water intrusion had been observed, was completed and the contractors were comfortable enough to continue on with the repair on their own, the certification was completed and the contractors can confidently promote and grow their business.
