Product Description

SealBoss ® FlexLiner is a two component liquid applied, asphalt blended aromatic polyurethane. The applied product consists two coats of SealBoss FlexLiner with an optional polyester inner-ply mat, called a scrim. The system adheres well to most substrates. The Liner is very durable and its monolithic surface structure will provide long term waterproofing if applied correctly. The elastomeric properties permit the system to expand and contract with normal structural movements. The SealBoss FlexLiner System offers a wide range of uses in commercial and residential applications.

Installation Guidelines

Mixing

Proportions are premeasured. The mix ratio is 1:9 A:B by volume. Using a mechanical mixer, pre-mix SealBoss FlexLiner Part-B material thoroughly to obtain a uniform color. Use care not to allow air into the mixture. SealBoss FlexLiner should not be mixed by hand.

Priming

Most substrates should be primed with recommended primer.

Application

Apply two coats of SealBoss FlexLiner at 2 gallons per 100 sq. ft. each coat directly to a clean dry substrate.

Do not apply product at surface temperatures below 50ºF (10ºC). Also temperature must be 5ºF (3ºC) above dew point. Do not apply when the ambient or substrate temperature is rising.

Do not apply product in direct sunlight.

Spray equipment, squeegee, notched trowel or phenolic resin core roller may be used; if a roller is used extra care should be taken not to trap air bubbles into the mixture. Apply SealBoss FlexLiner evenly over the entire deck at 58 wet mils. Most applications require only one coat, but if needed SealBoss FlexLiner may be re-coated in 1 hour. If SealBoss FlexLiner has cured for more than 8 hours, the surface may need to be mechanically abraded and cleaned before re-coating.

Re-Coat

Re-coating / Multiple or Second coats must be completed within eight (8) hours of previous applications of Flex Liner. After this eight (8) hour window, it is necessary to abrade, clean and prime surface prior to re-coating.

Abrading shall be by grinder or other mechanical means.

Curing

At 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity, allow coating to cure for 24 hours for light traffic, or 72 hours for heavy traffic. SealBoss FlexLiner FL-IM 19 is sensitive to heat and moisture and this could accelerate the curing time.
