Product Description
SealBoss ® 1500 Hot Shot Cartridge Water Stop Foam is a hydrophobic, water-activated (hydro-active), water cut-off grout and leak-seal foam grout based on a phthalate free, MDI polyurethane. The product is 100% solvent free, 100% solids two component formulation to be mixed at a 1:1 ration by volume.
Upon contact with water SealBoss ® 1500 Hot Shot Cartridge Water Stop Foam reacts to a semi flexible foam while expanding its volume 30 to 40 times. The cured material is of a constant volume. Since water is not a component of the foam structure, the cured material is essentially not effected by water or dryness. The reacted material essentially does not shrink or swell.
SealBoss ® 1500 Hot Shot is designed to fill large voids such as gravel layers, rock fissures, joints and cracks in concrete structures and to cut-off gushing water of high pressure and speed.
The product can be used with SealBoss ® 1500 Seal Oakum applying the ‘Oakum Soakum Technique’.
The advanced 1:1 formulation of the product results in a very dense, closed cell structure when injected under pressure. Very low counter pressure will result in a less rigid more expanded product. For best waterproofing results a closed cell structure is desired. |
Installation Guidelines
The product is part of the SealBoss ® Cartridge System.
The mix ratio by volume is 1:1. SealBoss ® 1500 Hot Shot Cartridge Water Stop and Leak-Seal Foam reacts with the moisture in the structure and does not need large amounts of water to react. Simultaneous injection of water is typically not necessary. If the area of application seems to be completely dry, pre-injection of water may be recommended in some circumstances.
