SealBoss 1500 Leak Sealing Foam

Product Description

SealBoss 1500 Leak-Seal Foam is a hydrophobic, water-activated (hydro-active), water cut-off grout and leak sealing foam grout based on a phthalate free, MDI polyurethane. The product is 100% solvent free, 100% solids two component formulation to be mixed at a 1:1 ration by volume. Upon contact with water SealBoss 1500 Leak Sealing Foam reacts to a semi flexible foam while expanding its volume 30 to 40 times. The cured material is of a constant volume. Since water is not a component of the foam structure, the cured material is essentially not effected by water or dryness. The reacted material essentially does not shrink or swell.

The advanced 1:1 formulation of the product results in a very dense, closed cell structure when injected under pressure. Very low counter pressure will result in a less rigid more expanded product. For best waterproofing results a closed cell structure is desired. Due to the low viscosity of the material, SealBoss 1500 Leak Sealing Foam offers good penetration in hairline crack injection. The product can be used for the filling of voids, cracks and honeycombing in stone or concrete structures. The moisture content of the soil must be sufficient to ensure reaction. To achieve most satisfying and permanent results in certain applications, a combination of SealBoss 1500 Leak Sealing Foam with other systems of our product line may be advised. Installation Guidelines

The mix ratio by volume is 1:1.  The leak-seal foam can be pumped with either single or two-component equipment. When used with single component pumps mix product thoroughly before applying. Be aware of the highly water reactive nature of the mixed material. Observe temperature and humidity of the environment, since both determine the pot-life of the premixed batch. Do not mix more material than the amount that will be pumped within reasonable time. Rule of thumb: High temperatures and high humidity decreased gel-time.

SealBoss 1500 Leak Sealing Foam reacts with the moisture in the structure and does not need large amounts of water to react. Simultaneous injection of water is typically not necessary. If the area of application seems to be completely dry, pre-injection of water may be recommended in some circumstances.

All equipment, pumps and hoses must be dry. Avoid moisture contact with the mixture to prevent premature reaction. If product foams while pumping, immediately shut down the machine and flush with a cleaner to avoid built up and clogging of the equipment.
