FlexSeal

Product Description

SealBoss ® FlexSeal is a single component, liquid applied, bitumen modified, coal tar free, urethane polyurea based waterproofing membrane. The product is available in two grades, H for horizontal and V for vertical applications.

Installation Guidelines

Mixing
SealBoss FlexSeal should be thoroughly mixed using a mechanical mixer at slow speed or manually in such fashion as to ensure a homogeneous material. Avoid entrapment of air into the material as air bubbles may form when membrane is applied.

Application
SealBoss FlexSeal may be applied with various methods such as brush, squeegee, trowel or roller, such as a phenolic core roller. Apply the material evenly. Surfaces must be dry, clean and free of foreign matter.

Joints, Cracks and Flashing
SealBoss FlexSeal may be applied over cracks and joints. For wider cracks, it is recommended to use a Polyester Tape or similar for additional strength. First apply some material and then embed reinforcement tape into material and fill with more material to smoothen the area with the adjacent surface.

Primer
Primer is optional but may be recommended to achieve the best possible results.

Curing
For multiple coat applications, allow coating to cure for a minimum of 16 hours and a maximum of 48 hours before proceeding to apply subsequent layers. (Recommendation is for 70°F / 21°C and 50% relative humidity.

SealBoss FlexSeal is very sensitive to temperature and moisture. Higher temperatures and/or higher relative humidity will accelerate the cure time! Use caution in thickness of your application as thicker layers will prolong the cure time.
